crocheted potholders

I love doing some real simple crochet,
which I can do while watching my favorite tv shows.
Crocheted potholders are easy and quick to make,

and I like the 'cosy cottage look' they create in my kitchen.

Here is how I made these easy potholders :

I used the following stitches:
Chain (ch)
Single crochet(click here)
Picot stitch(click here)

Start with a Chain of 52
Row 1: SC in 3rd ch fr hook, and in every ch afterwards. ( sc) Rows 2 - 40: Ch 2, turn. Work entire row in sc. (50 sc)

Add a Picot stitch to make an edging .

chain 20 in one of the corners to make a loop,
so that you can hang the potholder if you would like to do so.

Simplicity can sometimes be the hardest thing to achieve. I love the fact that your pot holders are functional, but also beautiful.

These would look great in our kitchen in France. I will be off to the shops next week to buy some yarn. Als ik nog technische vraagjes heb, dan hoor je dat. Keep at it, sis! Groet uit Penrhyndeudraeth
PS: ik zal zondag weer 'Hope Springs' kijken, dan kan nou zonder D! Leuke serie op BBC1.

Those are pretty and really well made! I'm a knitter and I find crochet a little baffling, so all those straight, crocheted lines are really impressive to me. :P

Ik vind deze pannenlappen heel mooi.
Ik wil ze ook maken, maar bij je tutorial mis ik de afmetingen van de pannenlappen, de dikte van het katoen en de haaknaald.
