Christmas waves a magic wand
over this world,
and behold,
everything is softer
and more beautiful.

update on the gloves
When you end off after crocheting your gloves, be sure to leave enough yarn so that you can
sew the side seams together (leaving an opening on each glove for the thumbs)
To make the thumbs ,
crochet 4 rows of single crochet round the bit you left open for the thumb.
row 1 : 22 sc
row 2 : 20 sc
row 3 : 18 sc
row 4 : 17 sc
Make sure you fit the glove while you are crocheting so you can adjust the stitches to make a perfect fit for yourself.
Crochet 2 rows of 28 sc round the wrist side,
to finish of the gloves .
Happy crocheting !

crochet fingerless gloves tutorial
For these gloves I used
Stylecraft Special DK
and a crochet hook 3,5
CH 29
(or a chain that is the length of your desired glove)
Row 1 - SC in the second chain from the hook and in each chain across. = 28 SC
CH 1 and turn.
Repeat row 1, 23 times or until the glove wraps snugly around your hand.
You can make them just one colour or make stripes or do some tapestry crochet .
This is what I did :
6 Rows Burgundy
1 Row, 2 SC Burgundy, 2 SC Mocha,
1 Row, 2 SC Khaki, 2 SC Mocha,
15 Rows Khaki
to be continued

Deer stag
This is my latest creation.
It's all about stags and deer this autumn.
I used the tapestry crochet method,
find out more here .
To make the pillow the right size,
to achive a nice block pattern,
'patchwork like' effect.
It matches the rest of my cushions.
The left one, I made earlier.
The right one is from Ikea.
Feel free to use this grid for whatever project you like,
however I would really appreciate it if you linked back to my site to show where you got it from.
And of course I'd love to see what you made of it.
Happy creating!

Friday afternoon fun with Mod-Podge
I have never tried it before,
but I really enjoyed working with Mod-Podge.
This is what my daughter made;
she glued on the dog (cut from a magazine)
and pinned the little black and white bow onto the candle.
Crocheted this lovely heart,
and cut out a heart out of cardstock with a craft punch
and Mod-Podged the clothespin.

Doesn't this make a lovely gift ?

What's on my tray Tuesday -
Last summer I bought a big stash of cotton yarn,
Catania and Phildar .
Together they are good for almost 80 different colours .
Plenty to choose from , so I was able to combine a nice autumn palette
to crochet lots of pieces.
